 The most overrated trend of 2023?

    Crocs by far have to be the most overrated trend of 2023. Shoes with 1 million holes and a little band on the back can not be known as the best shoes to exist. As a child, I used to wear crocs for my swimming classes and when I went to the beach. The same shoes in India and Pakistan are used to wear to the bathroom through the dirt and mud, so their actual nice shoes do not get dirty. For years these shoes were not a fashion statement instead it was used to get them dirty to avoid having to ruin their actual shoes. 

    This year somehow crocs have gained an undeniable attention from the kids to young adults. They wear there beloved crocs as they have no other shoes that exist. Whether it be on casual clothes, professional, or even traditional clothes people wear crocs everywhere. A suit is not meant to be work with some shoes that have holes on it, it takes away from the whole outfit. To you it might be fun, but in reality it is stupid. People have lost the meaning of shoe game as they think Crocs are appropriate for every occasion. Spoiler, IT'S NOT! 

    Since the brand has gotten the large gain in attention they have started to come out with several types of crocs. Recently they came out with Lightning McQueen and Mater sheos, which I can not lie are so cute, but when would those ever be normal to wear. They only look good on the shelf, so keep them on there. Another trend rising with Crocs are the charms that go on the holes. These charms are ridiculously overpriced and not worth it. I personally have seen someone by a charm for $45, like what. Charms tend to fall off or get dirty which is a whole different hassle for the owners. There is no use in purchasing the charms cause if anything they make the crocs uglier. 

    Also, what on Earth is sports mode? I do not understand why people would want to wear crocs with the back band in the front when the whole purpose of it is to make you feet more secure in the shoe. Might as well by some slippers and call it a day. When people on a special occasion do decide to wear the back band how it is meant they say they put the crocs into sports mode. Like no friend, you are just wearing them correctly. 

    $45 for holes and part shoe is crazy to me. I understand they last for a long time, but they are so ugly why would you want to wear them for years. Crocs need to vanish from the fashion world and go back to being used for side purposes like swimming. As a society, we need to stop making functions out of things that do not need to be made. Leave crocs in 2015.
